Chiropractic Care

Upper back adjustmentChiropractic is a holistic and integrative form of medicine. It uses adjustments of the spine to help your body heal, naturally. When you are properly aligned, your body’s healing response can work as it should.

When a segment of the spine is misaligned, it interrupts the communication between your brain and body. That’s when you experience symptoms such as back pain, neck pain or headaches. Ultimately, the goal of chiropractic care is to get you back to 100% without invasive, painful, or time-consuming treatments.

How Can We Help You?

Dr. Josh and Dr. Dalton’s primary technique is called Activator Methods®. It uses the Activator instrument, which makes it noninvasive and easily tolerated by just about anyone. When necessary, he can also employ a manual style of adjusting called Diversified.

Here are some of the most common conditions we see:

  • Headaches – According to the World Health Organization, about half of adults in the world have at least one headache per year. Whether your headaches are occasional or more persistent, you may find your quality of life seriously impacted by them.
  • Back Pain – About 80% of Americans get low back pain at some point. Some forms of back pain may not seem too serious. Others, however, can harm your well-being and make it challenging to even get out of bed in the morning!
  • Neck Pain – Your neck contains tough tissues including muscles, tendons, ligaments and vertebrae. Responsible for carrying your skull’s weight, they take quite a lot of abuse. Chiropractic may ease these symptoms.
  • Whiplash – Two million Americans end up with whiplash each year. This painful condition can cause all sorts of discomfort. Whiplash is commonly experienced after an auto accident.
  • Sciatica – A sharp and shooting pain in the low back or buttocks may be due to sciatica. Nearly 40% of adults report having sciatic pain, which can occur with little or no warning.

Some of the other common types of pain we see include shoulder pain, knee pain, extremity pain, soft tissue injury, fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis.

Is Chiropractic Care Safe?

Though chiropractic is generally considered extremely safe, there may be side effects, just like any other form of medical treatment. For example, some may be a little stiff or sore after their adjustment. It’s just like the soreness you’d feel after working out. If you feel any discomfort, it will likely subside within 24 hours.

Thanks to Dr. Josh and Dr. Dalton’s pain-free Activator adjustments, there won’t be any popping or snapping during your adjustment.
